About me

I’m Dr. Russell Chan, Director of Prime Your Mind Now. My life goal is to help you reach your upmost mental and physical potential. I love to investigate the mind using naturalistic and non-medicinal approaches such as meditation. The thoughts reflected here are my own or in collaboration with trusted partners. Enjoy my insights on the mind.

MY BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
  • PhD in Cognitive & Motor Neuroscience
  • Published author in the Neuroscience of Meditation
  • Trained in electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG)
  • Yoga and meditation practitioner since 2009, instructor since 2013
  • Lululemon Adelaide Ambassador (2013-2015)

I’m a neuroscientist with a fascination of the mind and its potential for cognitive performance. I started this site to share my knowledge and am available for consultation on topics about meditation, spirituality, cognitive neuroscience and motor control.

Using different neuroimaging techniques, I investigate how meditation and other mind-body techniques affects our health and well-being. You will find my information easy to understand and relevant in your journey of understanding the science and spiritual aspects behind meditation.
